We have been learning about rice and comparing different types of rice to investigate what it looks like when it is first cut from the field. Students milled rice in the husk, but using sandpaper to lightly sand the husk, to compare it brown rice and white rice. Then they designed their own experiment to test the best growing conditions. We introduced control and experimental variables.
