Little League Basketball Game

I recently got to attend one of the Little League Basketball games at CCES and it was so exciting! It was my intentions to attend both games that night, but my three-year-old son had a different idea. (ha ha) I was so proud of them and loved seeing their passion for the game! Congratulations to all the players for a great season!

February Weather

Can you believe this weather! I cannot remember being able to go outside with short sleeves on in January or February and playing during recess- it sure has been nice!

Student of the Week- Cameron

Cameron was student of the week last week- he is such a hard worker and an athlete! He's standing in front of our class motto!

Student of the Week- Maria

Maria was our "Student of the Week" last week! She has the best attitude and always so helpful to others!

Family Learning Night- Hawaiian Style!

Tonight is our family learning night where students can come and listen to books being read by community members, play learning games on the iPods and in the computer lab, and visit our wonderful library and book fair. Who doesn't love the book fair! They can also enjoy free pizza and soft drinks. The more books they read, the more prizes they win!

Weather Instruments Projects

Students presented their weather instruments in class last week. Each student was instructed to create an instrument of their choice from a list of options. These instrument options included: hydrometer, anemometer, thermometer, wind vane, wind sock, rain gauge, or a barometer. Students had to reflect on their project in their writing journals and they were given a scoring rubric to assess themselves and what they learned. Way to go Studio 214- thank you for your creativity and your hard work!
