Food Web

          When we were learning about food chains and food webs, we created a food web in class, using yarn.  Each student was part of the food web by either being a specific animal, plant, or the sun, and we discussed the impact each "person" had on the web and what would happen if a piece of that web was missing.  It was a great illustration!  We also created food web flip charts, using the strategy of "Sketch to Stretch", where students create an illustration of their learning from a passage they read.  They identify the biggest moment of the pages they read and make connections.
